Copa Airlines inaugurated this Thursday its new route between Panama City and Armenia, Colombia, being the airline’s first new destination since 2019.

“This new flight to Amenia allows us to continue improving the connectivity of the cities of the continent, strengthening the position of the Hub of the Americas and contributing to the socioeconomic development of the region through the tourism sector,” said Christophe Didier vice president of Sales of Copa Airlines.

The airline celebrated the first inaugural flight with an event at Tocumen Airport, which was attended by Camilo Vizcaya Rodriguez, Second Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Embassy of Colombia in Panama; Cristian Duque, Commercial Representative of ProColombia in Panama; and Raffoul Arab, General Manager of Tocumen, S.A.

Copa Airlines flight CM330 to Armenia initially operates with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, departing at 11:36 a.m. from Panama and arriving at El Eden International Airport at 12:58 p.m. The return flight will depart on the same days from Armenia at 3:58 p.m., arriving in Panama at 5:18 p.m. The route will be operated by a Boeing 737-700 with capacity for 12 passengers in Business Class and 112 passengers in the main cabin.
