American Airlines announced Friday that it will increase its flights to Rome, Naples and Venice starting in May 2025.

American will become the only airline to fly nonstop to Naples from Chicago in 2025, giving customers full access to the gateway to the delicious cuisine, historic ruins and sunshine of the Amalfi Coast.

The airline will also offer its first nonstop flight between Dallas-Fort Worth and Venice beginning June 5. Complementing existing service from Philadelphia, American will offer convenient one-stop connections to the capital of the Veneto region from more than 230 destinations in North America.

Rome’s timeless appeal will be easier to visit with expanded summer service from Miami and Philadelphia.

Announced in September, the new service between Miami and Rome will now begin in June, rather than July as previously announced. And, to complement the year-round daily service from Philadelphia, American will operate a second daily flight in the summer to Rome.

American will operate flights from Rome to more destinations in the United States than any other U.S. airline, giving customers the flexibility to choose a schedule that gets them where they want to go when they want to go.

“As Italy remains popular for summer travel, American is making it easier than ever for customers to shop, dine or relax in their favorite destinations,” said Brian Znotins, American Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning.
