Wingo announced this Wednesday the launch of its first new route for 2025, which will connect Palonegro Airport in Bucaramanga with Simón Bolívar Airport in Santa Marta starting March 30, 2025. This service will be the airline’s third route in Santa Marta and its second destination from Bucaramanga, aligning with the company’s expansion strategy to strengthen connectivity in Colombia without the need to pass through Bogotá.

Flights will be available twice a week (Fridays and Sundays), offering 3,000 seats per month between both routes.

Argentina: Wingo receives authorization to fly to Cordoba, Mendoza and Rosario

“We are starting 2025 with a new route and growth in the domestic market. We are connecting two cities that have always been part of our network growth strategy, and we are confident that this route will generate greater travel dynamics between both cities. With the introduction of low-cost service on this route, more residents of Santa Marta will visit the Beautiful City, and more people from Bucaramanga will visit the Pearl of America,” said Jorge Jiménez, Wingo’s Vice President of Commercial and Planning.

Tickets for this route are now available for purchase with introductory promotional fares starting at COP 109,000 per trip.

Wingo’s Expansion and Growth

With this new route, Wingo reaches a total of 37 routes in its network, consolidating its position as the low-cost airline with the strongest operation in Colombia.

The airline continues to focus on offering direct connections between Colombian cities without the need for layovers in the capital, making transportation easier at competitive prices.
