Alaska Airlines has unveiled its latest livery: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer, a themed aircraft that pays homage to the entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit of Princess Tiana, the protagonist of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Princess and the Frog.

A Collaboration Celebrating Big Dreams

In partnership with Disneyland Resort, the airline revealed the vibrant aircraft design at Portland International Airport, where it embarked on its inaugural flight to Santa Ana, California. The livery not only celebrates Tiana’s exploratory spirit but also ties into the new water attraction Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park—a musical and emotional journey that expands the princess’s story.

Visual Storytelling Through Design

The Boeing 737-800 features a stunning paint job that took over 2,000 hours of work by specialized artists. Tiana takes center stage on the fuselage, while other characters like Louis the alligator peek out among bayou lily pads. A shimmering trail of fireflies runs from the nose to the tail, and the winglets showcase Mama Odie and Prince Naveen.

Onboard Magic for Families

Starting this summer, children can enjoy a new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-themed snack pack available for purchase onboard. The experience is designed to make the journey as memorable as the destination.

A New Chapter in a Lasting Partnership

This is the ninth Disneyland Resort-themed aircraft in Alaska Airlines’ fleet but the first to feature a Disney princess. The airline plans to keep this aircraft operational for several years across its route network, bringing a touch of magic to every flight.

“Every journey should be as magical as the destination. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer brings that wonder to the skies in a way that perfectly complements our commitment to creating memorable travel experiences,” said Eric Edge, Vice President of Brand and Marketing at Alaska Airlines.

A Launch Coinciding with a Major Anniversary

The debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer aligns with Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, which begins on May 16, 2025, and runs through summer 2026. The event will feature limited-time entertainment, colorful decorations, themed food and beverages, and more.

Part of a Magical Aircraft Collection

This new design joins other popular themed aircraft in Alaska Airlines’ fleet, including:

  • Mickey’s Toontown Express, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy.
  • Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort, with a black space-themed livery dedicated to Galaxy’s Edge.
  • Friendship and Beyond at Disneyland Resort, showcasing giant versions of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie from Pixar Pier.

With Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer, Alaska Airlines invites passengers to fly inspired by a story of perseverance, dreams, and adventure.
