Frankfurt Airport to offer winter flights to 243 destinations in 93 countries

Frankfurt Airport’s new winter schedule , which will be available from October 27 until March 29, 2025, will offer flights to 243 destinations in 93 countries that will be operated by 79 airlines. With more than 3,600 weekly flights, there are a total of some 675,000 seats available, an increase of 4% over last year.

Next winter, the number of flights to northern European destinations will increase. For the first time, Lufthansa will fly to Rovaniemi in Finland, known for its Northern Lights and as the official home of Santa Claus. Discover Airlines is also launching new flights to Scandinavia, adding services to Kittilä in Finland and Alta in Norway. These three new destinations in the far north of Europe will have twice-weekly flights from Frankfurt starting in late November (Lufthansa) and mid-December (Discover), just in time for the holiday season.

Discover Airlines is also expanding its services to Ibiza to include the winter season, making it a year-round destination. Flights take off on Saturdays.

In the long-haul category, Condor and Discover Airlines are expanding their connections to Latin America: Condor will operate two weekly flights to Los Cabos in Mexico and will strengthen its existing service to Puna Cana by adding an intermediate stopover on the Caribbean island of Antigua. Beginning December 12, Discover will offer twice-weekly flights to Tulum in Mexico. Frankfurt will offer the only direct air connection from Europe to this popular tourist destination.

Lufthansa will continue its services to Raleigh-Durham and Minneapolis-St. Paul during the winter season, which debuted this summer.

Condor strengthens its flight offer to Thailand with two new destinations. From the end of September, four flights to Phuket will take off. With five weekly connections, the airline complements Thai Airways’ two daily flights to Bangkok.

Korea’s T’way Air adds four weekly flights to existing Lufthansa, Asiana Airlines and Korean Air services to Seoul. This brings the total number of weekly connections to the South Korean capital to 19. Etihad Airways will initially increase its winter schedule to twelve weekly flights from December and will add two daily flights to Abu Dhabi from February 2025.

As of October 27, Vistara moves from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1.

As of November 11, due to the merger of Vistara and Air India, all services will be operated under Air India flight numbers. The airline will thus offer 14 weekly flights to New Delhi and seven connections to Mumbai.

SAS Scandinavian Airlines, a new member of the SkyTeam alliance since September, will move from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 at the start of the winter schedule on October 27.
