The Brazilian airline Azul announced the return of its seasonal flights between Belo Horizonte and Fort Lauderdale, effective July 2. This news marks the reinstatement of a key connection between Brazil and the United States, particularly valued by travelers from Minas Gerais seeking international destinations for vacations, shopping, and beach getaways.
Between July and December 2025, the airline will operate a total of 158 flights on this route.
The frequency will be three weekly flights, specifically on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Flights will depart from Belo Horizonte at 12:00, landing in Fort Lauderdale at 19:20 (local time). From South Florida, flights will take off at 21:40, arriving in the capital of Minas Gerais at 06:50 the following day (local time).
The flights will be operated using an Airbus A330-200, wide-body aircraft with a capacity for 271 passengers, distributed as follows:
- 20 seats in executive class
- 251 seats in economy class
Beatriz Barbi, the airline’s Network Planning Manager, emphasized: “The flights between Belo Horizonte and Fort Lauderdale reinforce Azul’s commitment to providing an air network that meets customer demands, especially during vacation periods and the U.S. summer season, when travelers seek leisure destinations. Additionally, this reaffirms the importance of our hub in Confins, which remains strategic for Azul’s domestic and international operations.”
